Very Early Days
Christian County, Missouri was established in March of 1859 and shortly after that in 1890 the city of Ozark Missouri hit the map. It was named the County seat of Christian County and the historic Christian County court house was constructed in the heart Ozark square in 1913.
In 1973 the Christian County Court House, that was designed by Henry H Hohenschild, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Over the years the city of Ozark as grown into a center of business, residential housing and culture. Ozark also has an abundance of natural beauty, from rolling hills to beautiful lakes and rivers that provide for excellent fishing.

It is also home to the Smallin Civil War Cave. Ozark also is home to a well known local disk golf course located at the Neal Grubaugh Park.

Ozark Missouri is home to the Ozark Public School District which is recognized as an A+ Ranked District with State Recognition. The school district is also recognized for top marks in Music Performance, Sports and academic programs.
